We're looking for a highly motivated and qualified professional to take on a rewarding dual role as an EMR/Sports Medicine Teacher & Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC).
This role combines classroom instruction—delivering engaging content for the Sports Medicine and Health Science curriculum—with hands-on athletic training duties—providing immediate and continuing care, prevention, evaluation, and rehabilitation for our student-athletes.
🔑 Key Responsibilities Include:
Curriculum Delivery for Sports Medicine and EMR training (50%).
Injury Prevention & Care, Game & Practice Coverage (evenings/weekends included), and medical documentation (50%).
✅ Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, Health Education, or a related field.
Certification: Must hold current certification from the Board of Certification (BOC) as a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC).
Licensure: Must hold or be eligible to obtain a state license to practice as an Athletic Trainer in Louisiana.
EMR: Must hold a current Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) license, OR be willing and able to obtain the license within the first 90 days/one semester of employment.
Teaching: Must hold or be eligible to obtain a state teaching certification.
