Mission Statement

Opelousas High School students will learn, develop, and utilize critical thinking skills in all subject areas to prepare for post-secondary educational and work force opportunities.

National Athletic Training Month

Opelousas High School would like to recognize our valued athletic trainer, Joy Melancon, MS, LAT, ATC, NREMR, for National Athletic Training Month. Through our partnership with Opelousas General Hospital and Moreau Physical Therapy Clinic, we are able to have a full time healthcare provider on campus to aid in injury prevention and rehab, injury recognition and on-field care when injuries do occur in practice and games. OHS Students Recognized with Scholarships

OHS Seniors recognized today, March 22, in a ceremony at the Med Express Building. The students received scholarships for their hard work in academics and civic activities. Congratulations go to Alahnnah Broussard receiving the Cash Award Scholarship, Brennan Ledoux receiving the Memorial Yam Scholarship and Camryn Broussard who received the Student of Excellence Scholarship sponsored by Med Express Ambulance Services. Congratulations to our amazing students and heartfelt thank you to the scholarship programs that support them.
