We're super excited to announce our 1st Annual Student Arts Expo will happen on Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 10 AM to 3 PM on the Opelousas Courthouse Square. We are so very thankful of the Acadiana Center for the Arts for making this happen. There will be school bands, student artists, our robotics teams, and so much more. This event is free and open to everyone! Please come out and support our students and bring friends!
MACA will have its annual Black History Program, " A Celebration of Culture," on February 16, 2023 at 6:00 PM. Admission is $5 (cash only). Tickets can only be purchased at the door. There will be no online ticket sales. We hope you will come out and watch.

Unfortunately, no outside food, drinks, or latex can be delivered to OHS.
If you or your student would like to surprise someone special on Valentine's Day, they can do so by purchasing candy grams and announcements from the cheerleaders. All gifts will be delivered to the student on Valentine's Day.
In an effort to keep our students safe, we have tightened up on enforcing the SLPSB policy. Cell phones and backpacks need to be placed in lockers. Students should be in uniform. Slippers, crocs, slides, or any soft-sole shoes are prohibited. Tardies and skipping will not be tolerated.
Today at approximately 11:50 am we received a call from someone threatening harm to students. We evacuated both buildings and contacted local law enforcement. OPD and the fire department were on campus within minutes (checking the building and investigating the threat). Students are safely back in class. Thank you Opelousas Fire and police for all of your help!
