A MESSAGE FROM SLPSB:
Due to possible unsafe weather conditions from the forecasted arctic blast, all St. Landry Parish School District schools and offices will be closed on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, and Wednesday, January 17, 2024.
With icy roads and freezing temperatures expected throughout the days ahead, we have made the decision to cancel classes, sporting activities, and practices to ensure the safety of our students, families, and staff.
Stay warm and safe at home. For continued updates on closures, follow our social media and check local news outlets.

If you suspect your child has talented music, theater, and/or visual art characteristics, contact your school for a referral to the School Building Level Committee. Talented referrals and evaluations are only conducted once a year in the Spring.

We're thrilled to announce that the OHS football team is heading to the Superdome in New Orleans on Friday, December 8, 2023, to face off against Cecilia High at 12:00 PM. To ensure the Opelousas community has the chance to cheer on the Tigers, all Opelousas High feeder schools will be closed on Friday, December 8.
