2024 St. Landry Parish Middle School Principal of the Year

To the Students, Families, Faculty, Staff, and Community of Grand Coteau Elementary,

It is with immense honor, gratitude, and enthusiasm that I introduce myself as your incoming Principal, Mrs. Octavia Warren.

For 22 years, I have dedicated myself to education, serving as a classroom teacher, assistant principal, and most recently, as the principal of Central Middle School. My commitment to fostering environments where students and staff thrive is at the core of my professional life. I strive to amplify Grand Coteau Elementary’s strengths, support and empower the staff and students, continue to cultivate a growth mindset, and educate the whole child academically, socially, and emotionally.

On a personal note, I am a resident of Opelousas. I am married to Aubrey Warren, and we have three wonderful sons: Martreven, Brandon, and Deondre. My family's support fuels my passion for serving the children in our Grand Coteau Elementary community.
